Northern Ontario Development Program – Ontario Government Funding

  • Several Canadian Government funding organizations exist to help various business sectors, such as the previously mentioned FedDev Ontario, that supports Southern Ontario’s economy. Another organization available to help small businesses is FedNor, which provides Canadian funding for business sectors in Northern Ontario. The Northern Ontario Development Program provides small business funding grants for the adoption and commercialization of new technologies.

FedNor’s Northern Ontario Development Program serves three priorities:

    1. Community Economic Development

The Northern Ontario Development Program supports communities’ efforts to plan and mobilize their resources. Thus, the accepted projects should strengthen community economic competitiveness and enhance collaboration among stakeholders to achieve short to intermediate goals.
