Ontario Emerging Technologies Fund – Ontario Government Funding

  • The Ontario Emerging Technologies Fund supports the collaboration between qualified venture capital funds and other private investors into companies working towards:

    • Clean technologies
    • Digital media and information and communications technologies
    • Life sciences and advanced health technologies

    This discretionary Ontario government funding program is accepting investments made alongside qualified co-investors. Any companies interested in investment must work through Qualified Investors.

    Funding for Small Business

    The Ontario Emerging Technologies Fund was created due to emerging challenges from technology companies experiencing difficulty in raising venture capital. These Canadian government grants will drive start-up investments in green technology companies and other high-tech businesses. The Provincial Government has provided $250M in business funding grants under this funding program, committing to a maximum of $50 million per year for five years.
