Aimed at developing a pre-commercialization health technology or innovation towards the commercial market. The technology needs to have a proof of concept, including a registered IP with initial design and development stages completed, and some form of validation and testing completed.
- Amount: 50% of project costs, with projects estimated at around $200,000 over 2 years. Eligible costs include wages/salaries with benefits, direct R&D costs, commercialization and regulatory costs, and capital expenses. Funding is performance-based loans or convertible debentures.

- Eligibility: Must be an Ontario-based SME in the health sector trying to introduce a new technology or innovation.
2. Technology Acceleration Program (TAP)
Similar to the IDP, the TAP supports the commercialization of advanced stage health technology through larger scale projects.
- Amount: 50% of project costs, with projects estimated at around $250,000-$1,500,000. Eligible costs include wages/salaries with benefits, direct R&D costs, commercialization and regulatory costs, and capital expenses. Funding is performance-based loans or convertible debentures.
- Timeline: Open.
- Eligibility: Must be an Ontario-based SME in the health sector trying to introduce a new technology or innovation.
3. Technology Implementation Program (TIP)
Supports clinical evaluation or technical assessment of new and innovative MAT products and technologies.
- Amount: 50% of project costs, with projects estimated at around $200,000. Eligible costs include wages/salaries with benefits, direct R&D costs, commercialization and regulatory costs, and capital expenses. Funding is performance-based loans.
- Timeline: Open. Maximum project length is around 2 years.
- Eligibility: Ontario-based publicly funded health centres, such as hospitals, rehabilitation centres or healthcare agencies.
4. Ontario Sells Program
Promotes the expansion of Ontario-based MAT products to be marketed and sold internationally.
- Amount: 50% of project costs, with projects estimated at around $100,000 over 2 years. Eligible costs include wages/salaries with benefits, direct R&D costs, commercialization and regulatory costs, and capital expenses. Funding is performance-based loans.

5. Ontario Flagship Program
Large scale funding to support anchoring MNE led global research and development mandates in Ontario.
- Amount: 15% of project costs, with projects estimated at around $1,500,000 to $2,000,000. Eligible costs include wages/salaries with benefits, direct R&D costs, commercialization and regulatory costs, and capital expenses. Funding is performance-based loans or grants.
- Timeline: Open. Maximum project length is 5 years.
