Ontario Centres of Excellence – Talent Programs

  • The Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) Program, First Job, is for Ontario research or technology companies that can provide stable employment for internship placements to graduates with science and technology degrees. The R&D support is intended to support commercialization and new process development. OCE’s First Job program helps Ontario companies hire knowledgeable, highly skilled graduates from Ontario colleges and universities. To stay globally competitive, the First Job program provides support for the first year’s salary for an internship after obtaining his or her latest post-secondary education. The employment opportunities are in R&D with the goal of developing new products, services and processes.

    • Amount: First Job – Talent Program with Internship Amount up to $25k for the first year’s salary of Technical Graduate.
    • Timeline: Open. Funding is tight but available.
    • Eligibility: Presence in Ontario, Incorporated and strong leadership. Must be able to show the commercial impacts and growth for the company and benefit to Ontario.
