May 9: Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) Discovery

The Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) is a federally-funded organization that assists the collaboration of colleges, universities, research hospitals, and industry partners. Through these collaborations, new technologies are being developed and commercialized at an accelerated rate.

Businesses have the opportunity to access Canadian government funding grants and loans throughout the year, however May is often highlighted by the starting of grants and wage subsidies to hire recent post-secondary graduates. During the month of May you will be able to hire recent post-secondary graduates for your business, and in doing so, may be eligible to receive up to 50-100% of the recent graduate’s wages to a maximum of $20,000 (depending on the industry or position being recruited).
