The Alberta Media Fund was created to support organizations and individuals developing screen-based media, books and magazines, and sound recordings. Each program offsets a variety of costs, including Albertan labour, so that media producers can improve products and lead towards a more successful market release. Each of its funding streams will provide Alberta government grants on a first-come, first-served basis until March 31, 2018, or until funding is depleted.
