Ontario Human Capital Research and Innovation Fund (OHCRIF)

The Ontario Human Capital Research and Innovation Fund (OHCRIF) will fund research to enhance the evidence base for workforce development strategies, ideas and approaches. The program supports research and innovation projects that identify better ways to help people prepare for, return to, or keep employment and become productive participants in the labour force.

  • Amount: Inquiry Projects: Up to 100% of eligible expenses to a maximum $100,000. Impact Projects: Up to 100% of eligible expenses to a maximum $250,000.
  • Timeline: Deadline: February 17, 2020. Projects must be completed by March 31, 2021.
  • Eligibility: Post-Secondary Institutions, School Boards, Employers, Industry Associations, Unions, and Workforce Development Partners, Indigenous Organizations, Not-for-profit organizations.
  • Projects: Supports research and innovation projects that enhance the evidence base for workforce development strategies, ideas and approaches.
