Hire 8+ Recent Grads and Receive $160,000+ in Canadian Business Grants

Unemployment, especially among youth, remains an area of great concern for the federal government. The Youth Employment Strategy is the Government of Canada’s pledge to get Canadian youth working by helping them overcome barriers to gaining employment and transition from post-secondary education into the labour market. Since 2006, the Youth Employment Strategy (YES) has helped more than 555,000 young people; and in 2014 the Government of Canada is supporting another 3,000 internships in high-demand fields, and 1,000 in small to mid-sized businesses across the country.

For a limited time the Government of Canada is offering a very generous incentive to companies that are planning to bring on 8 or more hires within a short period of time this year.

Canadian Government Grants for Hiring Amount: $20,000 per Employee

As a part of the Youth Employment Strategy the federal government will provide eligible companies with up to $20 per hour in funding per employee to a maximum of $20,000 in Canadian government grants each. The minimum number of employees hired under the program is 8, meaning each successful applicant company can receive $160,000 or more in non-repayable government grants.

Note: The program will not fund 100% of wages. Expect to pay $2-$3 per hour towards the salary of each employee hired under the program.
