OCI: DMAP Program Aims to Support SMEs with Digital Strategies and Technology Adoption

Technology continues to revolutionize the way businesses operate not just in Canada but across the world. Technology helps organizations accelerate their productivity outputs, improve product and service quality, and connect with customers. However, some businesses have found it easier to adapt to these technological upgrades than others, especially with the challenging economic landscape. Therefore, the Canadian government is placing a large focus on supporting businesses in their transformations towards digital platforms via funding programs like the OCI – Digital Modernization and Adoption Plan (DMAP).

The Digitization Competence Centre (DCC) offers the DMAP program to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to better understand their organization’s technology needs, guide their digital transformation decision-making, and optimize their technology investments. The DMAP program encourages and supports SMEs to work with a Digital Adoption Consultant to generate a Digital Modernization and Adoption Plan tailored specifically to their organization’s digital needs.

The Digital Modernization and Adoption Plan (DMAP) is part of a broader Digitalization Competence Centre (DCC) initiative. DMAP is designed to support Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) to better understand their organization’s technology needs, guide their digital transformation decision-making, and optimize their technology investments.

DMAP is part of a two-stream initiative led by the Ontario Centre for Innovation (OCI) and DCC designed to get businesses up and running with a plan for transitioning their business to a more digital platform.
