[WEBINAR] June 14: Export Training and Funding Programs

Small Business Grants for Export Training

Canadian businesses are fortunate when it comes to exporting since there are several ways to receive support. These include training courses to certify you or members of your organization as trade professionals, and government funding programs to build export capacity and reach/expand international markets.

Will your business start exporting or expand export markets in 2018? Educate yourself and access funding to support the process.

During the Export Training and Funding Programs webinar, attendees will learn more about EDC-FITT training, the Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation, as well as specific government funding programs to help businesses succeed in export markets. This information will be advantageous to a wide range of Canadian businesses; from pre-exporters to established international companies, there are training courses and government funding programs to support all export-driven firms.

June 14 Webinar: Export Training and Funding Programs

On Thursday, June 14, Mentor Works Ltd. is partnering with the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) to host a complimentary webinar for Southwestern Ontario business leaders interested in developing or optimizing an export strategy.

The session will begin with FITT’s Scott Ferris discussing challenges in the exporting process, and how employees with a Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation can help overcome many of them. FITT has recently partnered with Export Development Canada (EDC) to create and offer training programs for CITP designation; Scott will explain how business leaders can get started with this certified training program.

Mentor Works’ Rob Maciel will then discuss Canadian government funding programs to support the export expansion process. This includes training grants to support the upskilling of employees through export training or other programs, as well as other funding programs to offset the costs of trade shows, market research, and marketing material translation.
