Learn How to Access Business Grants for Ontario Food Businesses
Bernadeen McLeod is the Principal and Owner of Mentor Works Ltd., a consulting firm that specializes in helping small to medium-sized businesses select and access government grants and loans. Bernadeen’s approximately one hour presentation will take the mystery out of funding while explaining the importance of key terms such as funding “cycles” and “stacking.” Her presentation will cover as many as 50 different funding programs.
SR&ED Tax Incentives for Canadian Agri-Food Companies, Ryan LLC Introduction:
More than $4 billion is granted each year making it by far the largest incentive program made available to businesses across Canada. In the province of Ontario SMEs and large corporations alike recover up to 72% and 51% respectively. During Ryan LLC’s segment of the workshop attendees will receive an overview of the SR&D program, learn more about eligibility for the program, and be offered practical examples of areas of eligibility –specifically in the Food industry, including insight into recent developments in how the SR&ED program is administrated.

Danny has a wide breadth of experience at the senior executive level in corporate finance, SR&ED, and strategic planning. Danny served as Vice President of Finance & IT at Signature Vacations, and Vice President & CFO at FCI Broadband, a Rogers Communications company. Additionally, he was involved in the acquisition of the Toronto Argonauts, the Toronto Blue Jays, and the Rogers Centre while holding senior positions in finance at Labatt Communications. Danny is now dedicated to helping business innovators with the SR&ED program.
