Receive up to $100,000 in Government Grant Funding.
The Dairy Farm Investment Program (DFIP) supports Canada’s dairy (cow milk) producers that improve productivity through upgrades to their equipment and infrastructure. By accessing non-repayable contributions (government grants), dairy producers will become more efficient and cost-competitive with international competitors.
Funding Amount
Up to 50% of eligible expenses to a maximum grant of $100,000.
Eligible Applicants
Canadian licensed cow milk producers with a valid dairy license stating the production quota and be registered with a provincial milk marketing board.
Eligible Activities
Improving productivity of milk cows within barns through expert consultation, purchasing equipment, retrofitting facilities, and training staff on new equipment.
Deadline to Apply
Last application intake closed on February 8, 2019. Future intake periods have not formally been announced.
