Amount of Funding

Access up to 50% to a maximum of $10 million; the minimum funding contribution is $40,000.

Canadian Facilities engaged in energy consuming processes that involve the physical or chemical transformation of materials or substances into new products.

Eligible Activities

  • Workforce development training for Energy Management Practitioners;
  • Identifying opportunities to improve energy efficiency, reduce operating costs, and increase business competitiveness through energy assessments and audits;
  • In industrial facilities, energy managers identify energy-saving opportunities, build an energy-saving culture, and implement energy management systems;
  • Organizations can implement energy management systems to systematically track, analyze, and manage energy, set priorities, and adopt energy-efficient practices that are proven to continuously improve energy efficiency; or
  • Energy efficiency retrofits support modifications or upgrades of a facility’s energy-consuming equipment, processes, or infrastructure.

Program Deadline

All costs must be incurred after Project approval and before Project Completion Date or March 31, 2027, whichever is earlier. Program is now open to receive proposals and will close by July 31, 2023.
