MaRS helps entrepreneurs bring innovative ideas to the marketplace with the Investment Accelerator Fund (IAF), which provides seed funding of up to $500k for early stage of technology development and commercialization. The range of sectors served by IAF include IT, Health, and Cleantech, with a minimum addressable market size of $100M. This funding is aimed at technological development, human resource recruitment and training, business development, and commercialization of the product/service.
Funding Amount
MaRS IAF invests at the seed stage, with investments of $500K.
Eligible Applicants
Ontario-headquartered businesses and organizations are eligible to apply.
Eligible Activities
Technology development and validation of products that are close to commercialization and that demonstrate early market traction.
Deadline to Apply
MaRS evaluates eligible applicants on a continual basis throughout the year.
