AgriCompetitiveness – Canadian Agricultural Partnership
Receive up to $1,000,000 in Agri-Food Funding.
The AgriCompetitiveness program is a stream of funding provided through the Canadian Agricultural Partnership (CAP), a 5-year framework to support Canada’s agriculture and agri-food sector. AgriScience is specifically designed to help industry associations and Indigenous organizations coordinate and build on existing capacity, enhance safety, and adapt to changing commercial and regulatory environments.

Amount of Funding
Successful applicants may receive up to 50% of eligible project expenses to a maximum $1 million per year. Applicants may receive a maximum of $5 million lifetime value from the program.
*Total government funding support may not exceed 85% of project costs.

Eligible Applicants
To be eligible for the AgriCompetitiveness program, applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Not-for-profit organizations that operate solely for social welfare, civic improvement, pleasure or recreation; any other purpose except profit;
- Associations; and
- Indigenous groups.

Eligible Activities
Eligible activities will meet the following requirements:
- Building skills, knowledge, and best practices among industry members;
- Helping the sector build leadership and facilitate knowledge transfer;
- Increasing business management and planning capacity within the sector;
- Promoting farm safety; and
- Increasing public trust.

Open; continuous intake of applications until March 31, 2023, or until funding has been fully committed.
