Food and Beverage Ontario (FBO)Ā uses the term āthe Local Food movementā to describe the opportunity for food and beverage processors looking to grow their businesses in Ontario. This food and beverage industry association is supporting the Local Food movement through successful outreach activities, including a recent workshop held at the enterprising ThinkFOOD! Centre of Maple Leaf Foods in Mississauga, ON on December 11, 2014.

Through a partnership with Conestoga College, FBO is committed to supporting the development of the institute of Food Processing Technology.

Achieving successful development of the Ontario food and beverage processing sector takes cooperation. Through the FBOās many events, like the New Market Opportunities for Ontario Food and Beverage Processors Workshop brings together a diverse group of food and beverage processing professionals, owners, and consultants to learn about the many opportunities to quench the demand of consumers as well as public institutions across the province, and beyond.
