CanExport Associations
Receive up to $250,000 in Export Support Funding.
The CanExport Associations stream allocates funds for National Industry Associations and Trade Organizations. The stream is designed to improve Canada’s reach in priority markets and sectors, by covering a portion of eligible sales and marketing activities that result in a net increase of global influence for associations.
Funding Amount
Up to 50% of eligible project expenses up to a maximum of $250,000 in grant funding.
Eligible Applicants
Canadian national industry or trade associations, business councils, multi-sectoral organizations. Canadian organizations with under-represented groups in trade (e.g. Indigenous, women, LGBTQ2+). Must have 2 years of financial statements.
Eligible Activities
Non-travel activities: Export training, updating strategy for market diversification, gathering market intelligence, marketing/promotional tools and materials upgrades
When travel permits: Visits to foreign markets, organizing trade missions for SMEs, In-person participation at trade shows, networking functions, meetings or conferences.
Deadline to Apply
Deadline to apply is January 11, 2022. Applicants cannot incur project expenses until approved for funding. Project should take place between April 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023.
