Amount of Funding

Eligible applicants can receive up to $450,000 in non-repayable grants from the AGF program with a lifetime maximum of $900,000.

Eligible Applicants

To be considered for funding, all applications must meet the following criteria:

  • Groups of active private sector partners representing the value chain of the project must propose it. It is required that active partners contribute cash, in-kind services, equity investment, or a letter of intent to purchase to the project.
  • Saskatchewan-based organizations must lead projects
  • Indicate how the technological innovation can be implemented to solve a specific industry-wide challenge and benefit the agriculture industry as a whole.
  • Innovative and novel technological solutions are required.
  • Describe how the project will be commercialized and how it will be sustained in the long run.
  • Industry partners must provide 50% or more of the project’s budget. The amount requested from IS is no more than 30% of the proposed budget.
