Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada is supporting agriculture projects that intend to seize opportunities in the industry to take advantage of a situation or circumstance to develop a new idea, product, niche, or market opportunity. The Canadian Agricultural Adaptation Program (CAAP) is distributing $50.3M in grant funding to non-profit institutions until March 31, 2019.

  • Amount: Up to 50% of eligible costs; maximum of $1M in grant funding per project, $4M for duration of program.
  • Project: Development of new ideas/products/niches, respond to new/emerging markets, or pathfinding/piloting solutions to new or ongoing issues.
  • Timeline: Open to applications; projects must be completed by March 31, 2019.
  • Eligibility: Marketing boards, aboriginal groups, and cooperatives (excluding universities & colleges). SME’s are not eligible.
