On Tuesday, September 24, 2013, Export Development Canada (EDC) will join Mentor Works’ President and Owner, Bernadeen McLeod, for a Canadian Government Funding and Export Development Workshop in Burlington, Ontario.
Access Government Grants for Small Business & Learn More about International Business Opportunities
Bernadeen McLeod will present an approximately one hour long information session on Canadian government grants and loans available to Ontario businesses. Export Development Canada (EDC) will follow with a presentation on international opportunities for small business in Ontario as well as information on how the EDC is supporting small and medium-sized businesses that elect to expand internationally.

Cost: This event is free of charge to those who own or are representing companies that meet the following criteria:
- Incorporated in Canada for at least 2 years
- Financially stable
- Not a retailer/distributor
- Not a start-up
- Company must manufacture or conduct R&D in Canada

Export Development Canada is Canada’s export credit agency. Their job is to help develop Canada’s export trade by supporting companies that are looking to take advantage of international business opportunities.

Mentor Works is home to Canada’s foremost expert in Canadian government funding, Bernadeen McLeod. During Bernadeen’s one-hour presentation she will take the mystery out of the funding process by explaining how funding cycles work, how to fund up to 75% or more of your project costs through “stacking” of provincial and federal small business grants programs, and what funding organizations are looking for in your applications. Bernadeen will also walk you through up to 30-40 small business grants and loans programs over the course of her one hour interactive presentation.
