Employment Ontario provides networking services and Canadian Government funding for small business to attract, train, and hire unemployed Ontarians looking for valuable work experience. The Employment Service program is one of many Canadian Government Incentives for Hiring & Training Skilled Workers.

Employment Services for Businesses Looking to Hire

Ontario SMEs looking to address the skills gaps affecting their workforce can receive job posting and recruitment services from their regional Employment Ontario service partner. Regional service partners provide candidate matching services based on participants’ skills, capabilities, interests, and experience. Businesses can review their selections and recruit employees with the desired skill sets and knowledge. Employers may also be eligible to receive a non-repayable funding contribution ranging from $2,000 – $8,000 to offset some of the costs on-the-job training and wages for eligible candidates.

Employment Services for Job Seekers

Employment Ontario also provides services and funding to help unemployed Ontarians find work. Candidates can receive:

  • Assessments of Skills and Experience
  • Career and Occupation Information
  • Information About Employment and Training Opportunities
  • Employment Ontario Program Information
  • Referrals to Job Fairs and Community Outreach Programs
  • Support for Resumé Preparation and Job Search Strategies
