TECTERRA is a not-for-profit organization that receives government funding to distribute in support of geomatics companies in Canada that need financial support to commercialize their new and innovative geomatics technology.

Who is eligible for the Trade Show Attendance Program?

The TECTERRA Trade Show Attendance Program is for small companies or start-ups that are Canadian based and that work in developing new technology for the geomatics field.

How Does TECTERRA define a small company?

A small company is defined as having fewer than 50 employees and making less than $5 million in revenue.

How much funding is available through TECTERRA Trade Show Attendance Program?

The TECTERRA Tradeshow Attendance Program will cover up to 100% of eligible costs to a maximum of $15,000/year

What expenses are eligible for coverage under TECTERRA Tradeshow Attendance Program?

The following are eligible for funding through TECTERRA:

  • Up to two tradeshows per year
  • Booth space costs
  • Event registration for up to two people
  • Hotel costs for up to two people

What costs are not eligible for reimbursement under this program?

The costs that are not eligible for reimbursement include: taxes, travel expenses and marketing materials.

How does the application process work?

Applications are accepted on an on-going basis. Applications must be received at a minimum of 90 days prior to the start date of the trade show.

Are there other funding programs for geomatics companies in Canada?

There are other funding programs for geomatics companies through TECTERRA. As well, there are hiring programs for Canadian businesses that may be of interest to your company.
