How to Receive $2000 for Signing a New Trades Employee

Are you a growing company that employs high-skilled trades? The Ontario Government is issuing a $2000 Employer Signing Bonus for the hiring of new employees in high-skilled trades. The grant was created to encourage the registration of new apprentices and promote training of trade workers in the industry.

Requirements

The employer must be a registered Ontario business that can hire and train new apprentices. The grant is split up into two phases. The first phase will ensure that the company has all the requirements to train the apprentice and half of the instalment will be issued in the first phase. The balance of the grant will be given in the second phase, where the company must continue to employ the apprentice and provide at least six-months of training.
