Ontario Creates (formerly the Ontario Media Development Corporation) is an agency of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport. Through Ontario business grants and other Ontario government funding programs, Ontario Creates supports several forms of media including magazines, books, video games, and film and television.

Ontario Interactive Digital Media Tax Credit (OIDMTC)
The OIDMTC is jointly administered by Ontario Creates and the Canada Revenue Agency. OIDMTC is a refundable tax credit based on eligible Ontario labour expenditures and eligible marketing and distribution expenses claimed by a qualifying corporation with respect to interactive digital media products.
Interactive Digital Media Fund (IDM Fund)
The IDM Fund supports Ontario based interactive digital media companies by offering access to funding required to move content projects into production. Ontario small business grants offered through the IDM Fund provide up to 50% of up to $250k towards projects focused on bringing interactive digital media content to market.
Ontario Creates Music Fund
Ontario business grants support independent Ontario-based record companies, music publishers and artist management firms create and implement strategic marketing initiatives. Ontario Creates’ Music Fund offers Ontario small business grants from $15,000 to $50,000 to approved applicants, with the possibility of an additional $10,000 in Ontario government funding for projects that have a digital focus.
Ontario Creates Export Fund
The goal of this Canadian business grant program is to provide financial support for businesses ready to market their Interactive Digital Media product internationally. Canadian owned and operated corporations based in Ontario, as well as, film and television producers, music companies, book publishers who are export ready are eligible to receive $12,000 (50% of eligible expenses).
