New Horizons for MedTech (NHM) 2013 Information Sessions
NHM will provide Canadian Government funding to cover up to 50 percent of eligible supported costs to a maximum amount of $30,000 per recipient. The program will fund projects to help SMEs with at least one commercialized product in the medical or healthcare sector that:
- Have never exported, but are considering exporting;
- Are preparing to export in the near future;
- Have exported, but require improvement in competitiveness in order to be able to expand into additional markets.
Background on MedTech Canadian Government Funding in Southern Ontario
The Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev) Prosperity Initiative funding program, MEDEC and its small and medium-size enterprise (SME) division known as the Canadian MedTech Manufacturers Alliance (CMMA), along with Health Technology Exchange (HTX) are all helping SME medical device and advanced health technology companies in Southern Ontario expand into new global markets.
